Sustainable Energy at Lollapalooza Chile 2026: A Landmark Project by DIE USACH

Technology developed by the Department of Electrical Engineering (DIE) at the University of Santiago de Chile was once again a highlight of Lollapalooza 2026. Through the ReBatVE project at the Center for Research in Electric Energy Technologies (E2Tech), repurposed electric vehicle batteries were used to power one of the festival’s key venues.

National Prize Winner Elvira Hernández Joins 40th Anniversary of Literature Master’s Program

Usach Study Honored by American Institute of Physics for Bringing Astrophysics to the Classroom

The article, titled “Analyzing New Planetary Systems at School: Applications of Newton’s Law of Universal Gravitation and Kepler’s Third Law,” presents a teaching sequence designed and implemented in Chile. This sequence uses real data from exoplanets to effectively teach concepts of contemporary astrophysics in classrooms.
